Poll Results: Here’s Who You Said Benefits Most From Travel to Cuba

We recently polled our audience for their take on who benefits most from tourism to Cuba. With almost 300 respondents, it’s clear that many of you think that travel to Cuba offers economic and diplomatic benefits to the Cuban people. Yet, it’s also clear that many of you feel that only el Gobierno benefits. And, apparently at least one of you thinks that influencers Marissa and Yoel benefit most. Uh, ok.

We respect everyone’s viewpoint, whether we agree or disagree with it. Yet, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention that we’ve witnessed, first-hand, the value that travel to the island offers the people of Cuba (not to mention us). It helps us know each other – bridging the gap culturally – and it improves the lives of the casa particular, paladar and private business owners with whom U.S. travelers engage. Here’s what you said… below.
