Our December Photo of the Month by Karen Vierbuchen
Travel photographer Karen Vierbuchen takes us into Cuba’s past mixed together with its future; a generation full of potential. Photo: Karen Vierbuchen
For December, we decided to go with this pic by our own Karen Vierbuchen. We chose it because it represents the two worlds that Cuba lives within; a complicated past that its future generation(s) can’t escape. Full of potential and life, these kids, like all of the Cuban people, remain caught up between a battle of governments that just wont let them be… kids.
Karen is a photographer and creative director based in New York City. She’s also part of the Startup Cuba traveling crew, joining us to capture images along our journeys. You can find her work throughout our website documenting Cuba, eating tacos with Netflix’s Taco Chronicles in Mexico City, trekking through the cloud forest in Ecuador and more.
Do you have a photo from Cuba to share with us? Each month we’re using this space to share one of your Cuba photos, so if you’re interested in sharing one of your best, please let us know.
