Hurricane Ian, the powerful storm that tore through the state of Florida in the U.S., also caused destruction to Cuba’s western province of Pinar Del Rio. Homes have been flattened and crops have been destroyed. In fact, it’s bad enough that the Cuban government has reached out to the United States for assistance.
Thanks to all of you we crowdsourced the below resources to offer support to the Cuban people.
www.give2cuba.com – They are mobilizing teams to buy food and supplies to distribute to families in need. Visit their website for more info.
https://mandao.app/en – Communicate via Instagram or through customer service on WhatsApp: +53 59170274. You can give money through the Mandao app to a fund established to provide food to those impacted.
https://oceanfdn.org/projects/hurricane-ian-recovery-fund/ – The Ocean Foundation’s Hurricane Ian recovery fund is raising money to rebuild homes and structures.
https://worldhelp.net/ – World Help is accepting donations to provide essentials like food, clean water and basic hygiene items.
https://www.caritas.org/where-caritas-work/latin-america/cuba/ – Caritas Cuba continues their work to provide life-saving support and assistance – in the form of food, drinking water, hygiene items and other basic necessities – for those in need in Pinar del Rio, Artemisa, Mayabeque and Havana.
