Cimafunk is Touring Again: Here's The Show Schedule

After wrapping up in France and Spain, Cimafunk, Cuba’s Afro-funk breakout star, is hitting the road to tour in the Northeast United States this month. He’s bringing his one-of-a-kind Afro-Cuban Funk show to New York, Massachusetts, Philadelphia, Washington DC and Pittsburgh before stopping in Chicago and swinging down to NOLA and other locations in the United States. We’ve included the tour schedule below and linked to ticket information.
If you haven’t been to a Cimafunk show, get vaccinated, put a mask on and do whatever you need to do. They’re quite literally a funk-a-awesome party that you’ll never want to leave. Plus, I’d imagine you’ll dance so much at the band’s combination of jazz, timba and Cuban funk that any COVID-19 would shake right out of you. (Note: I’m not a doctor and have no idea what I’m talking about.)

The best part about Cimafunk is that his sound transcends boundaries. Everywhere he goes he sells out. And, as someone who believes that stories and culture help bring us together, I’m super excited about this. The more music that we can share, the closer we can become.

Many have labelled Cimafunk a modern day James Brown. I get it but I also think he’s got a style all his own. It’s his fusion of Cuban rhythms with the funk that makes his sound and personality unique. But, let’s not kid ourselves, if you’re reading this you know all that already.
